BHRR Rehomie’s Spring Community Market

October 18 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Award-winning local group Boroondara Hard Rubbish Rehome (BHRR) is gearing up for its annual Spring Community Market (SCM)! BHRR rescues items from local nature strips and puts them back into use – so naturally, the SCM is all about circular action.

From plants and pots, garden tools to garden art, even home décor and clothes, the SCM represents everything BHRR stands for. It showcases how resources can be creatively reused. The SCM also offers a wide range of plants for sale, including herbs and veggies, grown in rescued pots. As well, it draws in local Rehomie creatives, who offer handcrafted, repurposed and upcycled items for sale.

Running a large event such as the SCM, almost entirely based around resources rescued from local hard rubbish piles, shows the opportunities that exist in this space.

What’s on offer?
• Free coffee
• Plants & garden gear
• Local makers & artists
• Kids activities
• Cake stall & sausage sizzle

Save the date! This year’s SCM will be on Saturday October 18, 10am-2pm, next to the Camberwell Library.

There’ll also be free coffee, a sausage sizzle and BHRR’s famous cakes and preserves stall! We’d love to see you there. Meanwhile, check us out on Facebook.
