Koonung Heights Uniting Church

There has been a church building of some kind on the corner of Belmore and Winfield Roads since 1952. Back then it was a small, prefabricated Methodist church on an undeveloped block. Both the churches who sponsored it are gone now, but Koonung Heights continues to flourish, now as a Uniting Church.

The open day invites members of the local community to visit and experience something of the warmth of friendship the church offers as well as learning a little about what keeps its members coming back each Sunday.

During the two hours the church will be open there will be a short worship service, beginning at 10.15, activities for children, coffee and tea, music from the church’s musicians and opportunities to learn about other activities such as the Social Justice Group, the Coffee and Craft afternoons, and the Practice your English group.
