Menzies for Climate; Combined Residents of Whitehorse Action Group
Thursday 29th October, 7.00 for 7.30 – 9.00pm
Box Hill Community Arts Centre, 470 Station Street, Box Hill
If you’re an eligible voter living in the Box Hill electorate, this is an event you will not want to miss. Two local, non-partisan community groups, Menzies for Climate and Combined Residents of Whitehorse Action Group (CROWAG), are hosting a forum of candidates for Box Hill in the forthcoming Victorian election. The forum will be held on 29 October at the Box Hill Community Arts Centre .
As Menzies for Climate and CROWAG both recognise, it’s vitally important for voters to make an informed decision about who to vote for in this landmark election.
The forum will enable people attending to hear each participating candidate present their vision for the local area and environment, addressing the following:
- Sustainability, climate resilience and urban greening;
- Transitioning to renewable energy;
- Enhancing public and active transport;
- Enabling sustainable and affordable housing with supportive infrastructure;
- Community engagement regarding these issue and solutions.
At the end of the presentations, members of the audience will be able to ask the candidates questions relating to any election issues.
