Boroondara Proms celebrates community through music
Saturday 7 November 2026, 7.30pm
Hawthorn Arts Centre, Burwood Road, Hawthorn
Some of Boroondara’s best-loved community musicians will come together at Hawthorn Arts Centre on Saturday 7 November for the 2026 Boroondara Proms — a celebration of brass, voices, pipes and community singing.
Presented by Skunkworks Community, the Proms brings together Glenferrie Brass, Camberwell Chorale and Hawthorn Pipe Band, joined by acclaimed vocalist Matthew Hetherington, euphonium soloist James Blackford and compere Patrick Lawrence.
At its heart, the Boroondara Proms is about bringing people together.
The program combines great music with plenty of opportunity for the audience to join in, celebrating the extraordinary range of musicians and community ensembles that call Boroondara home.
‘The Proms is really about community,’ says Skunkworks Community’s Phillipa Edwards OAM. ‘It’s about people of different ages and backgrounds coming together, sharing music and being part of something. You don’t have to be a musician — you just have to enjoy a great night out and be prepared to sing along.’
Tickets: Full $45 | Child/Concession $30 | Family of four $120
