Helen Elliot Photo by David Thomas

Sunday afternoon, 18 February, 2pm to 3.30 pm

The Bert Lewis Room (Meeting Room 1), 1st Floor, Box Hill Library, 1040 Whitehorse Road.

You are invited to a presentation by Helen Elliot, a prominent literary critic, journalist and author.  Her inventive and original memoir Eleven Letters recounts her memories of Box Hill, including her time working at the Box Hill City Library between 1964 and 1969.

Eleven Letters tells the stories of individuals in Helen’s life to the age of 21.  The memoir comes highly praised by Helen Garner and Brenda Niall. It has two chapters devoted to her time working at the Library,  a memorable time that allowed her to  ‘… read the library’!  Copies of Helen’s memoir will be available for sale at the meeting.

Visitors are most welcome. Admission is via a gold coin donation.  Enquiries 03 9285 4808.
